Nog 'n "Statistiek"

So jip daar het ek dit nou. Ek gaan een van die dae deel wees van nog ‘n “statistiek”. Jip danksy my groot mond en sarkasme gaan ek deel word van die “geskeide spesie” en nog erger is dat ek die “slegte” vrou is.
Ek het my wonderlike, vriendelike, fantastiese, slim man, so ver gedryf, dat ek en 5 van die die 9 katte nou vir my ander blyplek moet loop soek.
Ek is eerlik, ek het ‘n selfbeeld probleem en nie baie mense weet dit nie, want ek steek dit al vir 35 jaar lank al weg.
Ek kruip weg agter sarkasme as ek seerkry en glo my elk het al my deel gehad van seerkry….
Jinne op Laerskool was ek nog eendag vriende met iemand en die volgende dag het hulle ‘n ander beter maatjie. My ma het nie vir ons toebroodtjies ingepak skool toe nie, so ek was nie op standard nie.
Op Hoërskool het ek nie regtig ‘n beste vriendin gehad nie, alhoewel ek het verskei pogings gehad
In std 6 het ek ‘n pakslae gekry omdat ek nie my ma-hulle laat weet het waar ek was nie. Ek en 'n "vriendin" moet aan iets werk na skool. Ok by gesê, sy het vir my gesê hulle foon werk nie en ek het nie gesien hoe laat dit was nie.
So ek het maar so rond geswerf tussen die al die siele. Ek was redelik goed in atletiek en in Netbal, hel ek het tot Eerste Netbal span gemaak in std 9, maar omdat my familie nie ryk genoeg was om my op Netbal kamp te stuur nie, is my plek vir iemand anders gegee.
Tot op daai staduim was my grootste fout om vriende temaak het met ‘n girl wat van ‘n ander skool af gekom het. Ons het al dieselfde belangstellings gehad, het saam gehardloop, saam netbal gespeel en tot van dieselfde tipe ouens gehou.
En toe gebeur dit. Die dag wat ons sou op ons jaarlikse atletiek toer sou vertrek, is ek nie meer goed genoeg om haar vriendin te wees nie. Wel ek het my “tights” wat sy geleen het op daai toer terug gesteel.
Sien jy nou al ‘n patroon? Dalk moet ek werk aan my toebroodtjie skills
En wat maak ek toe….. glo dit of nie, ek raak verlief op die eerste ou wat aan my aandag gee en waar sit ek nou 17 jaar na die tyd?
By die werk, waar ek seker soos een of ander aapspesie lyk, want ek word peanuts betaal, met dik gehuilde oë…. “note to self” onthou om more grimeering in die kar te gooi.
Gelukkig dink die meeste van die mense ek huil oor my salaris......
